Watch: Coldplay goes psychedelic at the AMAs with 'Adventure of a Lifetime'
TODO Videos

Coldplay was charismatic and colorful for their first performance at the AMAs in seven years. The band did not disappoint as they came out with a psychedelic production for the performance of their single “Adventure of a Lifetime.” It was certainly an adventure as lead singer Chris Martin let loose, dancing around freely on the stage along with some furry friends.

The crowd was included with a ball drop and a confetti filled close. It was reminiscent of the Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love” video performance almost fifty years ago, with kaleidoscope colors and flowers draped over the gear.

It has been a rollercoaster week for the UK pop rockers. The band played a truncated set after canceling their TIDAL live stream when the attacks in Paris became apparent. The stream was rescheduled and Coldplay performed for their fans on Saturday to debut their new album A Head Full of Dreams. The rescheduled stream came just a day after announcing the Latin American and European legs of their “Head Full of Dreams” world tour. The album is due out December 4 and will see collaborations with Beyonce, Noel Gallagher, Tove Lo, and Merry Clayton.
