The lineup for this year's WBLS April Fools’ Day Comedy Show was announced this morning on the leading R&B station. WBLS-FM 107.5 offers comedy's finest for the annual event, taking place on April 1 at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. Presented by Marquee Concerts, the comedy show is hosted by Sommore, and features performances by Tommy Davidson, Gary Owen, Arnez J., Don "D.C." Curry, and Michael Blackson. Don't miss your chance to attend this laugh out loud, star-studded showcase! Formerly managed by hip-hop and R&B giant HOT 97, the highly-anticipated show is now handled by WBLS.
“The April Fools’ Day Comedy Show has been a staple event for Emmis New York for over 10 years,” Emmis New York VP/General Manager explained in a press release. “With a lineup that embodies the WBLS audience so well, it was only fitting that the station takeover hosting the event from sister station HOT 97. One of the strongest things our stations and comedy have in common is that both are cross-generational and appeal to the masses. We look forward to welcoming more of the WBLS audience to the show, and happily invite back HOT 97’s fans to enjoy a night out.”
The comedians on this year's lineup are veterans who have been entertaining audiences for decades. Having conquered television, movies, and stand-up, these celebrated comics will not disappoint when they hit the stage in the most famous arena in the world.
