Every once in awhile, you hear a song that leaves you disconnected from reality. The Sleeping Sounds believe music shouldn’t make you feel any other way. The Cleveland, Ohio-based dreamy indie-pop act, comprised of Zach Daniels, Anthony Lauletta and Mike LaSpina, began writing funk-infused pop tunes in late 2016, seeing as it was what the world needed—music that provides an escape. October of 2016, the band released their debut single and video for “Figure It Out,” catapulting the band into the online spotlight and gaining over 50,000 views on their music video for the track instantly. Entering 2017, the band bring more to the table with their debut EP, ‘Desire’—an eclectic collection of groovy, emotional songs that shed light on the concept of love. In 2017, the band will be performing their first shows around the midwest while churning out more songs before the year is over, with no signs of slowing down.
— About the track: "Desire," is an ode to a 'darker' side of love—an unhealthy relationship that becomes addicting and outlines the highs and lows of the type of relationship that everyone secretly craves." — Zach Daniels, vocalist of The Sleeping Sounds

ANOTHER THOUGHT ABOUT “DESIRE”
“When we were writing “Desire,” I was really channeling a lot of 80’s sounds and vibes—Prince, Lionel Richie, Earth, Wind & Fire—who are actually some of my biggest influences. The 80’s were this really interesting time in music and culture—everything from that era felt much more vibrant and edgy. We really wanted to channel that sort of feeling and timbre in “Desire.””—Anthony Lauletta (guitar/keys)
