The Kills are an indie rock duo made up of Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince. This fall, the band will return to North America for a West Coast tour beginning on Oct. 26 in Vancouver. They spent the summer months on tour, opening for various acts including Jack White, Queens of the Stone Age, The Black Keys, and the Arctic Monkeys. Tickets for their fall tour will go on sale Friday, July 18. Before their five city tour begins, The Kills will play a short set at The Open Road Aperture Foundation Benefit Party at Terminal 5 in NYC on October 21. The benefit party will be an evening of art and entertainment in tribute to photographer and film maker Robert Frank.
The Kills most recent album Blood Pressures, was released in April of 2011. They are currently in the studio working on their fifth album, but there is no date set for the release. The band has been busy in 2014 exploring their other passion- visual arts. In June, Hince opened "Echo Home," an exhibit of his photographic work at the Morrison Hotel Gallery in New York. Several of Mosshart's original paintings were included in "Push It," a 21-person group show devoted to female artists at ArtNowNY in April.
