Two beautiful things, Seattle and food, go hand and hand. This year there are several up and coming food festivals arriving in the Seattle area that you do not want to miss. Here are just a few coming up this year in the Emerald City.

1. Seattle Wine and Food Experience

This will be the first out of the four festivals listed that is scheduled to occur in the year. It will be on Sunday, February 22nd from noon to five, with a kick off event occurring the previous day. This festival will feature many exhibitors, including QFC and the Northwest Travel Magazine. General admission is $55.00 per person with various more expensive VIP options. Due to its extreme alcoholic nature no one under the age of 21 (even when accompanied by an adult) will be admitted.

Note: if you're going to drink alcohol please don't drink and drive. Bring a designated driver with you.

2. Taste Washington

The following month on the 26th to 29th this event will occur. Some of the many restaurants that will be showcased at the festival's Grand Tasting will be Blazing Bagels, Blue C Sushi, Ivar's Seafood Restaurants, Evolve Chocolate Truffles, Salty's Seafood Grills, and the Sub Zero Ice Cream and Yogurt. In addition there will be multiple seminars available for viewing at an additional cost and live cooking at the Alaska Airlines Chef's Stage.

3. Bite of Seattle

Already planning for your summer? On July 17th to 19th at the Seattle Center this legendary festival will once again take place, being of course the premiere food festival of the Pacific Northwest. Along with the wide variety of food there will be many entertainment events for families and charities such as Food Lifeline and Fare Start will be supported.

4. Seattle Street Food Festival

This festival will be taking place later on in the summer from August 8th thru the 9th. This festival is infamous for its vast wonderland of food trucks. Unlike other food festivals such as the Seattle Wine and Food Experience mentioned earlier this festival is family friendly (and the admission is free).
