Rolling Stones fans in the U.S. will have a pair chances to catch the legendary British rockers on the small screen in January. The 2016 tour documentary "The Rolling Stones Ole, Ole,Ole!: A Trip Across Latin America,” as well as the 2016 concert documentary “Havana Moon” will each receive their U.S. television debut this month on STARZ.
AntiMusic reports on Jan. 11 that “Ole, Ole, Ole!” will premiere on Sun., Jan. 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The 105 minute film follows the multi-platinum sellers during their 2016 America Latin Ole Tour. The rockumentary combines live concert footage with backstage interview and concludes with The Stones' historic appearance on March 25 in Havana, Cuba at Ciudad Deportiva de la Haba.
“Ole, Ole, Ole” originally received its theatrical premiere last fall at the Toronto Film Festival. It made its TV debut in the U.K. in November and had its U.S. big screen debut in 300 theaters on Dec. 12.
“Havana Moon,” which documents The Rolling Stones' first-ever performance in Cuba, will debut the following week on Sun., Jan. 22 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The concert film features the “Satisfaction” hitmakers rocking an estimated 1.2 million Cuban fans in the process of making history as the first British rock band and the biggest artist to perform an open air show in Cuba.
"Havana Moon” made its theatrical debut on Sept. 2 just prior to the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's two huge headline appearances last fall at Desert Trip. The concert film was later released released in multiple formats via Eagle Rock/Universal on Nov. 11. For more information, click here or here.
