Rock on the Range 2015: Five unmissable comedians
Just For Laughs

This weekend music fans will converge in the heart of America for the three-day celebration of all things rock known as Rock on the Range. Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, Judas Priest and Linkin Park are just a few of the heavy-hitting bands on the festival's impressive lineup.

While metal is the star of the show at Rock on the Range, several hilarious comedians are also on hand to share some laughs with festival-goers. Here are five must-see comedians at this year's Rock on the Range.

Brian Posehn

Long before being nerdy was cool, Brian Posehn trail-blazed a comedic path for those who love to hate the new “Star Wars” movies. The “Comedians of Comedy” funnyman is a perfect opening night headliner for the Rock on the Range Comedy Tent, as his resolute love of metal has long been established with comedic songs like the Fart and Wiener Jokes classic “More Metal Than You” and the Live In: Nerd Rage track “Metal by Numbers.”

Jim Florentine

New York Comedian Jim Florentine has an impressively rock & roll resume. Besides opening-up for Metallica at Orion Fest in 2012, he has been co-hosting VH1's longest running program, “That Metal Show,” since 2008. A Florentine set is like a hilarious therapy session as he vents his frustrations about societal annoyances with hilarious insight and humor. Don't miss his 7 p.m. set on Friday, May 15.

Rob Schneider

Rob Schneider may be best known as Adam Sandler's BFF, having appeared in such films as “Big Daddy,” “The Waterboy” and “Grown Ups,” but before he became a regular on “Saturday Night Live” in the 1990s, he was a rising star in the world of stand-up. In recent performances, he's been known to share stories from his time on film sets, as well as entertain crowds with hilarious celebrity impressions.

Don Jamieson

Jim Florentine's comedy collaborator and “That Metal Show” co-host, Don Jamieson, is also bringing the funny to Rock on the Range with a Saturday night performance. His set is perfect for the rock-loving crowd, as his encyclopedic knowledge of all things metal often flavors his comedy. Fun fact: Jamieson is also in the acoustic death metal band Gunfire-N-Sodomy.

Jim Norton

There is no better person to close-out the comedy tent at Rock on the Range on Saturday night than the “Opie with Jim Norton” co-host, Jim Norton. The metal-loving comedian's brutally honest approach to stand-up serves as a refreshingly hilarious punch in the face and comedy fans love him for it. Make sure to be present at the Comedy Tent at 7:20 p.m. on Saturday, May 16 to see Norton do what he does best.

Rock on the Range takes place May 15-17 in Columbus, OH. Head over to Rockontherange.com for more information about the festival and click here to check out more Jim Norton tour dates.
