Method Man & Redman to hit the road, lots of blunts on new tour

Method Man & Redman aren’t just two of the greatest rappers of their generation: they’re also two of the most prodigious pot smokers ever to come out of the New York hip-hop scene. Fittingly, the duo are set to headline The Smoker’s Club’s "Worldwide Rollers Tour" this fall, a concert that’s being billed as “the world’s largest hotbox.”

B-Real of Cypress Hill -- no slouch himself when it come to taking hits from the bong -- is also scheduled to perform, with Berner and Mick Jenkins rounding out the bill. The 37-date tour kicks off on Oct. 14 at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel in Providence, RI and will wrap up with a homecoming show for Meth and Red at New York’s Best Buy Theater on Nov. 26.

"Method Man and Redman have been staples in my playlists since I can remember,” Smoker's Club founder Jonny Shipes said in a statement announcing the fifth edition of the tour. “I have probably smoked 5 lbs of weed listening to their music and watching ‘How High’ on repeat during my life. It was a no-brainer and honor to have them headline this year's tour," Shipes said.

This fall is also scheduled to see the release of the new Wu-Tang Clan album A Better Tomorrow. Method Man and the rest of the Clan (yes, all eight of them, plus Cappadonna) recently stopped by “The Daily Show” to premiere the solid new song “Ron O’Neal.” Method Man also has a few dates scheduled with them this fall.
