On March 9, 2016, "The Boot" reports that "Dolly Parton Is Planning the Wedding She Never Had for 50th Anniversary." In this report, she explains the story of her wedding to Carl Dean in 1966. Dolly Parton, at 70 years of age, also tells in this report about her upcoming American and Canadian tour and the release of her latest album Pure & Simple With Dolly’s Biggest Hits. Dolly says, “We’re so excited to get out there and see the fans again...I’m really looking forward to singing songs the fans have not heard in a while, as well as the hits, while debuting a few new ones off Pure & Simple.”

On her own Web site, Dolly tells about the tour and the recent honors at the Movieguide® Awards for “Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors,” which received the Epiphany Prize for the Most Inspiring TV Program, while the young actress. Alyvia Alyn Lind, who played young Dolly in the TV film took home the Grace Award for best female performer. Austin Movie Examiner attended this event and interviewed Dolly and Alyvia on the Red Carpet. Both were delightful in the interview and on stage.

In the exclusive interview with Austin Movie Examiner on the Red Carpet for the 24th Annual Movieguide® Awards, Dolly said that she misses her favorite TV programs like “The Waltons.” She said that she was grateful to Movieguide® for recognizing her TV program “Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors” and other faith and family TV shows and movies. Alyvia Alyn Lind was darling during the interview with Dolly and Austin Movie Examiner, then captivating the audience on stage especially when she exclaimed exuberantly that “...she is a real fan of God.”

'Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors,' is coming to DVD on May 3. On Christian Cinema, it is the top-selling DVD, even in pre-release.
