Kings tickets go on sale soon and will kick off weekend of events

The 2014-15 NHL season is not far away. Within a month, teams will be in training camp, and then it will be just a few weeks before the puck drops on a brand new season. On Monday Aug. 18, the Los Angeles Kings announced that tickets for 2014-15 regular season home games will go on sale Friday Sept. 12 at 10 a.m.

The reigning Stanley Cup Champions will open the season on Oct. 8, at Staples Center, with a game against the San Jose Sharks. The Kings' second Championship banner will also be raised on that night.

All regular season games are expected to sell out again this season. The team is riding it's longest ever consecutive sellout streak, dating back to Dec. 3, 2011. In all, the team has sold out 90 consecutive regular season games, and 120 consecutive games, including playoffs.

*Note - On-sale date for tickets to the 2015 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series outdoor game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara featuring Kings vs Sharks on February 21, has not yet been released.

Sept. 12 will also kickoff a weekend of fan-friendly events:

Friday, Sept. 12 - The annual Sunset Sip wine tasting event, hosted by Jim Fox, will take place at the Long Beach Convention center. Tickets are on sale now. The event takes place from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m..

Saturday, Sept. 13 - Annual LA Kings 5k Run/Walk sponsored by McDonald's. Proceeds from the Redondo Beach event will benefit the Kings Care Foundation and the Hydrocephalus Association. The event includes a Family Fun Walk. The event begins at 8 a.m. at 1811-A Catalina Ave., Redondo Beach.

Sunday, Sept. 14 - *Hockey fest '14 7:00 am - 3:00 at Toyota Sports Center, 555 Nash st - El Segundo (sold out). Though general admission tickets to Hockey Fest are now sold out, Kings fans can still get into Hockey Fest by purchasing a ticket to either the LA Kings Alumni Game, or the Royal Feast.

Sunday, Sept. 14 - Following Hockey fest, at approx 4:30 pm at Toyota Sports Center, a special charity LA Kings Alumni hockey game vs a special Russian All-Star team. Kings alums scheduled to include Luc Robitaille, Craig Johnson, Nelson Emerson, Jim Fox, and Daryl Evans. Russian All-Stars scheduled to include Pavel and Valeri Bure, Alex Kovalev, Darius Kasparitis, and Slava Fetisov.

Sunday, Sept. 14 - At 6:30 p.m., the Kings will host a Royal Feast at Salt Creek Grille in El Segundo. The event will feature both present and past Kings players. There will also be a live, and silent auction.

Monday, Sept. 15 - The Kings annual charity Golf Tournament at Pacific Palms Conference Resort - One Industry Hills Parkway in City of Industry. The event will feature a Shotgun Start and a post-game Cocktail Reception. There will again be both a live and silent auction, as well as an Awards ceremony. All proceeds from the event benefit Kings Care Foundation and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
