JAS Student Showcase takes place Wednesday, April 26 in Carbondale, CO.

Besides bringing world-class music to Colorado for over 25 years, Jazz Aspen Snowmass has a sterling reputation when it comes to making sure that music education isn’t edged out of Colorado schools through their stellar program, JAS In-Schools. JAS In-Schools will be hosting two student showcases the last week of April. The shows are free and will give some of the best student bands in the central mountain region to show off all their hard work this school year.

First, the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Student Showcase happens Wednesday, April 26 at Roaring Fork High School in Carbondale, Colorado. You can check out the schedule below.

6:20pm:              Aspen Middle School Jazz Band
6:40pm:              Glenwood Springs High School Jazz Band
7:00pm:              Coal Ridge High School Jazz Band
7:20pm:              Rifle High School Jazz Band
7:40pm:              Basalt StreetHorns

On Saturday, April 29 JAS will team up with Aspen restaurant L’Hostaria to host “In-Tune Students,” where seven student bands will perform from 5:30-9:30 p.m. A three-course meal will also be available for $60 per plate with proceeds going to benefit JAS Music Education.
