Barclays ATP World Tour Finals Biography

Following the record-breaking success since moving to London in 2009, the climax of the men's professional tennis season returns to The O2 this November.

Global superstars will battle it out throughout the year, across 61 tournaments and four gruelling Grand Slams, in order to qualify for this prestigious season-ending showdown - where only the world's best eight singles players and double teams will compete.

Staged from Sunday 13 November to Sunday 20 November 2016, using a round-robin format, players will compete in a minimum of three matches each during the group stages as they battle for a berth in the knockout semi-finals. Each session will include one world-class doubles match, which sets the stage for a Top 8 singles clash.

In line with comprehensive security measures in place at major sporting events, a new Bag Policy will be in effect at this year’s tournament. Please note that only handbags and other small bags (no larger than 35cm x 40cm x 19cm) that can comfortably fit under a seat will be allowed into the arena. All other bags must be left at the Bag Storage facility in Car Park 1, at a cost of £10 per bag. Bag storage tickets can be purchased at The O2 Car Parking Office at the entrance to Car Park 1. All bags will be searched and screened before being accepted into the Bag Storage Facility.
The Bag Storage Facility will close 30 minutes after the end of the last evening match. Any items left in the Bag Storage Facility overnight will be destroyed. Any profits will be donated to charity.

Everyone entering The O2 arena you will need to clear enhanced security checks.  Visitors will be screened through security arches and bags will be searched as usual.  These security arches pose no threat to those with pacemakers or pregnant women.  Please also note that no food or drink is allowed into the arena, with the exception of food for babies, for specific medical needs or religious reasons.  For advice or to request food to be taken in please call our contact centre via
